What a difference a season makes. In my last letter to you in these pages, on the cusp of autumn and winter, the nation’s economy had not yet taken the dramatic downturn that now causes us all so much concern.

It is official. As of January 1, 2009, Woodbury College became the Woodbury Institute of Champlain College. Being a member of the Woodbury community and serving as its president for many years has given me the opportunity to observe and participate in the extraordinary change and growth that Woodbury students experienced.

Two Innovative Master's Programs
Among the many assets that Woodbury brings to Champlain College are two innovative master’s degree programs. (See “Champlain Launches New Graduate Programs” for information on the College’s other graduate programs.) Each draws on Woodbury’s strengths in providing highly relevant, career-focused education—dovetailing well with Champlain’s longstanding mission.
