Alexander Hamilton: The Man Who Made Modern America

On Campus Involvement

MinutesFaculty members at Champlain are bringing Alexander Hamilton into their classrooms. There is participation across the curriculum. Just a few examples:

  • Our Electronic Gaming students are creating a game for Champlain and local students

  • Our Graphic Design students will be designing posters and brochures

  • Critical Reading and Expository Writing Students will be using The Federalist Papers to explore freedom and democracy in America.

A number of activities are scheduled to bring Hamilton and 18th Century History to life for Champlain students:

  • April 11: Demonstration of historic letterpress printing by Champlain College graphic design professor David Lustgarten. Afternoon; exact time TBD. Free.

  • April 19: In an open forum, members of the Champlain community discuss current events and what Alexander Hamilton’s take would be on the events of our time. Free.
