How to Transfer College Credits
If you have credits from previous college courses, before you begin your online degree in business management you probably want to know if any of those credits will transfer to Champlain College. The answer is: quite possibly! Champlain accepts:
- Credits from other regionally accredited colleges
- Credits from courses that are substantially similar to those required in the Champlain College program and in which you earned a grade of “C” or better
- Up to 75 credits toward a bachelor’s degree and up to 30 toward an associate degree
An unofficial transfer credit evaluation may be conducted free of charge at any time, official transfer credit evaluations will be done for students after they have applied for and been accepted for admission to Champlain College.

Program Competencies
Upon completion, graduates with a B.S. Degree in Computer Forensics and Digital Investigation should be able to:
- Apply knowledge of computers, software, the law, and investigative techniques to research a possible criminal or civil infraction.
- Determine the need and design a method for conducting the analysis of computer and/or network equipment, and related data files.
- Design a computer usage policy that is consistent with criminal procedure, with particular attention to issues related to user privacy and organizations with sites in different countries.
- Articulate the dynamics of "white collar crime" and identify methods used by white collar criminals.
- Assemble and lead a team of experts in the analysis of a cyber crime scene.
- Apply knowledge of individual behavior to the design of the analysis of computers and digital media.
- Effectively communicate the results of a computer, network, and/or data file forensic analysis verbally, in writing, and in presentations, to both technical and lay audiences.
- Use appropriate print and online resources to stay abreast of relevant trends within the industry and to research technical and legal issues.
- Provide input to business and information technology (IT) managers about current best practices to protect computer and network resources from undetected criminal activity.
- Prepare to continue their studies towards a graduate degree.
- Cite and comply with relevant industry codes of conduct, professional ethics, and societal expectations of fair, impartial practices. Identify unethical professional behaviors.
