Accounting Undergraduate Certificate Opportunities
In the Champlain College Division of Continuing Professional Studies we know that flexibility is very important to adult students. Online or on-campus, day or evening, you can complete a Champlain College Professional Certificate in accounting with a schedule that works for you and your busy life.
A Professional Certificate is a great resume builder for adults that already possess a college degree, but need a specific set of skills. Our certificate programs consist of four to seven courses concentrated in specific areas of interest.
The Division of Continuing Professional Studies offers five certificates in the accounting field. Each certificate is specialized for specific knowledge and areas of the field. Accounting
Our Accounting certificate is designed for adults interested in beginning the study of accounting, obtaining entry-level positions in the accounting field or for students who know they want to continue on to another certificate, or even an entire degree, but would like to get a credential on their resume in a relatively short period of time.

Advanced Accounting
Accounting as a profession offers challenging and rewarding opportunities in a variety of settings. The Advanced Accounting certificate helps prepare adults who have completed the Accounting certificate, or who have significant accounting experience already, for career changes into accounting or financing fields.

Financial Accounting
The Financial Accounting certificate focuses on the preparation and analysis of financial reports needed by investors, creditors and regulators outside a firm as well as internal management. The certificate emphasizes the application of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).

Forensic Accounting
The Professional Certificate in Forensic Accounting provides students with a foundation of forensic knowledge and accounting expertise. The foundational courses of the program ensure graduates have a clear understanding of a company’s accounting and IT internal controls and how weaknesses in these controls may be fraudulently exploited.
